Dr. Cynthia Carlsson appointed chair of HHS Advisory Council on Alzheimer’s Research, Care and Services

Cynthia Carlsson, MD, MS, leader of the Wisconsin ADRC Clinical Core and co-leader of the Biomarker Core, was appointed to a two-year term as chair of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Advisory Council on Alzheimer’s Research, Care and Services.

This national council was formed in 2011 in response to the National Alzheimer's Project Act (NAPA) to create a national strategic plan to address the rapidly escalating Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias crisis.
