The ASSET Study (The Assessment of Smart Phone Everyday Tasks)

The purpose of the study is to learn whether a new smartphone test called the Assessment of Smartphone Everyday Tasks (ASSET) can help doctors make an early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and track early changes in daily functioning. 

This research study involves

  • A monthly 15-minute activity on a smartphone for 12 months
  • Two additional brief questionnaires for participants and one additional brief questionnaire for study partners
  • Two in-clinic visits done through your yearly routine research visits

Compensation

  • $50 for baseline visit and for year follow-up visit
  • $25 for each visit done at home through the application
Participation Eligibility
  • Be ages 55-90 with a cognitive status of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), OR
  • Be ages 65-90 with normal cognition or subjective cognitive decline
  • Own a smartphone and have an email address
  • Have an upcoming ADRC Annual Visit scheduled, OR
  • Have completed their annual ADRC visit within the last three months
