This study will look at swallowing changes over time in people with changes in their memory or thinking and identify factors that might increase the risk of swallowing difficulties. You do not need to have challenges with swallowing to participate.
Participation Eligibility
- 50-99 years of age
- Have dementia or memory loss
- Have a partner willing to participate in the study
Study Commitment
- 1-2 visits at the beginning of the study at the UW Hospital to complete research tests, swallow tests, and questionnaires
- Every 6 months for up to 4 years you will complete a swallow test
