Held in conjunction with the quarterly meeting of Great Lakes Native American Elder Association (GLNAEA), Alzheimer's in Indian Country will offer educational programing on brain health and the impacts of Alzheimer's disease in Native American communities. J. Neil Henderson, PhD, will offer the keynote address, "Is There a Link Between Diabetes and Dementia?" Dr. Henderson is executive director of the Memory Keepers Medical Discovery Team on Health Disparities at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth campus. He is Oklahoma Choctaw.
