Held in conjunction with the quarterly meeting of Great Lakes Native American Elder Association (GLNAEA), Alzheimer's in Indian Country will offer educational programing on brain health and the impacts of Alzheimer's disease in Native American communities.

Guest speaker will be Sanjay Asthana, MD, associate dean for gerontology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and an internationally renowned researcher and leader in the field of Alzheimer's disease. Dr. Asthana is the founding director of the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) and director of the Geriatric Research, Education and Clinical Center (GRECC) at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veteran's Hospital in Madison. He sees patients in the UW Health Memory Assessment Clinic, specializing in assessing and diagnosing patients with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
