Carey Gleason, PhD, MS, and her team, attended the Great Lakes Native American Elder Association (GLNAEA) quarterly meeting last week in Red Cliff. They shared educational initiatives from the Wisconsin ADRC designed to inform and empower tribal communities and their healthcare providers to better address the cultural implications of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia within Native communities. Red Cliff, also known as Gaa-Miskwaabikaang, is a Tribal Nation on the shores of Lake Superior in Bayfield County, Wisconsin.
