Amy Kind, MD, PhD, was recently quoted in an article about Milwaukee’s history of housing inequity. Research being conducted by her lab shows that the neighborhood where one lives can play a role in health outcomes, including Alzheimer’s disease risk.

Kind noted that she and her team are learning how a person’s environment and social conditions affect health at the molecular level. It is her hope that these findings will positively affect social policies and result in better clinical approaches to health.
