Megan Zuelsdorff, PhD, a postdoctoral fellow at the Wisconsin ADRC, accepted a position as a tenure track assistant professor with the University of Wisconsin School of Nursing, beginning August 2019. Since 2016, Dr. Zuelsdorff has been closely affiliated with the Wisconsin ADRC as a member of the Okonkwo lab, led by Dr. Ozioma Okonkwo, and most recently as a scientist on Dr. Carey Gleason's African Americans Fighting Alzheimer's in Midlife (AA-FAiM) study.

Dr. Zuelsdorff has built an impressive independent research program over the course of her career, having been awarded an NIA Aging Research to Address Health Disparities supplement, an Alzheimer’s Association Research Fellowship, and an NIA Next Generation of Clinical Researchers in AD Research R03 grant. Dr. Zuelsdorff's Stress and Resilience in Dementia (STRIDE) study explores social-biological pathways that contribute to cognitive aging in a geographically and racially diverse cohort of research participants.

In her new position, Dr. Zuelsdorff will continue to collaborate with the Wisconsin ADRC as she researches modifiable risk factors and community-tailored interventions that mitigate risk for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
