UW–Madison Alzheimer’s disease experts featured in Badger Talks series

Last month was Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, a time to bring attention to Alzheimer’s disease, highlight advances in research and share resources to support people affected by the disease. Throughout the month, Badger Talks held a series of programs about brain health, the challenges of caregiving and the latest discoveries made from the Wisconsin Registry for Alzheimer’s Prevention (WRAP) by researchers from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Family Caregiver Burnout and Alzheimer’s Disease” — Jody Krainer, MSW, LCSW, MBA, presented a discussion about family caregiver burnout. Krainer looks at risk factors and warning signs of burnout for those caring for a family member living with dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease; and strategies to minimize caregiver burnout.
