The Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) invites campus researchers to submit their poster abstracts for the 2017 Alzheimer’s Disease & Related Disorders Research Day poster session. The call for posters is open to students of all levels, trainees, and faculty who are involved in basic, translational, clinical, and health services research related to Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, aging, and related topics.
Poster abstracts are due Friday, June 2 and can be submitted online. Accepted poster presenters will be notified by Friday, June 9.
About the event
The Alzheimer’s Disease & Related Disorders Research Day will be held June 30 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Discovery Building on the UW-Madison campus. Keynote speaker is Paul Aisen, MD, founding director of the University of Southern California (USC) Alzheimer’s Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI) in San Diego, an organization with the mission to accelerate the development of effective therapies for AD.
“Our annual research day plays a pivotal role in bringing together investigators of varied backgrounds to discuss and launch innovative studies in dementia," says Sanjay Asthana, MD, director of the Wisconsin ADRC. "It also provides an ideal setting for junior investigators to network and showcase their research to a large gathering of neuroscientists from across UW.”
The Alzheimer’s Disease & Related Disorders Research Day is an annual event designed to encourage collaboration and promote scientific thought among faculty, students, and researchers from a wide range of disciplines across the UW-Madison campus. The event is free, but registration is required.
